The internal part is in contact with a pulley impressing the movement to the belt.
The second cylinder in contact with the same conveyor belt, is said idler.
Other pulleys lying on the line are used to distribute the weight of the goods they are transporting. conveyor belts are used to carry pallets, grain, coal, iron pellets. A conveyor belt can be coupled with a check counter in order to verify the number of the units passing onto it.
conveyor belts are used also at the top of escalators in order to carry passengers in an airport.
